This gentle cascade is on a stream in the northern Lake George Wild Forest. It eventually flows into the east end of Brant Lake. It's a beautiful, wild, serene area that I enjoy visiting from time to time when I just need to get away for awhile - and don't feel like driving too far from home. In the springtime, this small falls can turn into a raging torrent with spring snow and ice melt from the surrounding mountains and ponds.
There are beautiful cedars and pines all along this small waterway. A couple of small gorges, beaver flows and additional cascades along the way make this a real pleasant woods walk. |
